I vectorised the hand drawn type that I had done a while ago and put them with appropriate images, I don't think they are particularly good but I just wanted to see how it the imagery would work with hand rendered type.
I then did a quick mock up with computer generated type (Bauhaus font)...I think it works quite well (obviously needs work on layout and point size etc.)
After me and Nichola brought our work together again, and looked at the different typefaces that she had worked with, we both agreed that she should just one typeface for all the posters and that out of all the one's she'd used, this one would work the best over the series;
TwoTone (Dafont.com);
While Nichola was working on the final posters, I didn't have much to do...So I did my own.
We were both working with a similar layout, so they were quite similar but Nichola is more educate in how type and layout works effectively.
(These are mine...)
After both trying to work with the Petula Clark lyric, we agreed that it didn't work particularly well for a poster...its a bit long winded, so we chose not to take it any further.
The one below is my favourite from that ones that I did but typically, its a lyric that we aren't going to use. I think if I was doing the project on my own, I would have used this one because its quite humorous...At first glance, it may seem as thought you're referring to the National anthem but then you look at the image and see that its referring to the Sex Pistols song.
